Sylvia Lavin is Professor, History and Theory of Architecture and
Co-Director of the Program in Media and Modernity. Prior to her appointment at Princeton, Lavin was a Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA, where she was Chairperson from 1996 to 2006 and the Director of the Critical Studies M.A. and Ph.D. program from 2007 to 2017.
She is the author of Quatremère de Quincy and the Invention of a Modern Language of Architecture (1992) and Form Follows Libido: Architecture and Richard Neutra in a Psychoanalytic Culture (2005).

Kenneth Frampton is Ware Professor of Architecture at Columbia GSAPP, where he has taught since 1972. He was trained as an architect at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London and has worked as an architect and as an architectural historian and critic. He is the author of Modern Architecture and the Critical Present (1980), Studies in Tectonic Culture (1995), Le Corbusier (2001), Labour, Work & Architecture (2005), and A Genealogy of Modern Architecture: Comparative Critical Analysis of Built Form (2015).

Greg Lynn is the principal of Greg Lynn FORM and has taught throughout the United States and Europe. Because of his early combination of degrees in philosophy and architecture he has been involved in combining the realities of design and construction with the speculative, theoretical and experimental potentials of writing and teaching. He teaches at UCLA in Los Angeles and at the Institute of Architecture, University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Speaks is dean of the School of Architecture at Syracuse University. Previously, he was dean of the College of Design at the University of Kentucky from 2008-2013; director of the graduate program and founding director of the Metropolitan Research and Design post-graduate program at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles from 1998-2005.He is the author of “Theory was interesting… but now we have work: No Hope no Fear” ARQ, Vol.6, no.3 (Sept 2002) and “After Theory,” Architectural Record, June 2005.

Jeffrey Kipnis is professor of architectural design and theory at the Knowlton School of Architecture of The Ohio State University. His writings on art and architecture have appeared in such publications as Log, Harvard Design Magazine, El Croquis, Art Forum, Assemblage, and his books include Choral Works: The Eisenman-Derrida collaboration, Perfect Acts of Architecture, and The Glass House.

Reinhold Martin is Professor of Architecture at Columbia GSAPP, where he directs the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture. Martin is a founding co-editor of the journal Grey Room and has published widely on the history and theory of modern and contemporary architecture. He is the author of The Organizational Complex: Architecture, Media, and Corporate Space (MIT Press, 2003), and Utopia’s Ghost: Architecture and Postmodernism, Again (Minnesota, 2010).

Mario I. Gandelsonas is an American architect and theorist whose specializations include urbanism and semiotics. Gandelsonas is a founding partner of Agrest and Gandelsonas Architects, based in New York City, with Diana Agrest.

Mark Jarzombek is an architectural historian, author and critic. Since 1995 he has taught and served within the History Theory Criticism Section of the Department of Architecture at MIT School of Architecture and Planning, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. He is the author of The Psychologizing of Modernity: Art, Architecture and History (Cambridge University Press, 2000) and Digital Stockholm Syndrome in the Post-Ontological Age (Minneapolis: Univ Of Minnesota Press, 2016)
